Biography
Jun Nie is an Economist in the Economic Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He joined the department in June 2009.
Mr. Nie received his M.A. and Ph.D. from New York University. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and one in Mathematics from Wuhan University. In 2007-2008 he taught courses in Intermediate Macroeconomics and Statistics at New York University as an instructor. In 2008 he was a dissertation intern at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Mr. Nie's current research focuses on studying unemployment and labor market policies, robust preferences and rational inattention, and wealth inequality.
