Oklahoma City Board of Directors

Serving on the Branch Board

Each Branch of the Kansas City Fed has its own seven-member board of directors. Four of these directors are appointed by the Kansas City Fed while three are appointed by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, DC. Branch directors serve three-year terms and provide their respective Branch executives with insight on regional economic conditions as well as offer advice and counsel.

The individuals who serve as directors of a Federal Reserve Bank play a critical role in supporting the activities of the nation’s central bank. Each board of directors offers a unique and valuable perspective encompassing the broad interests of banking, commerce, manufacturing, agriculture, services, labor and consumers.

In carrying out its duties, each Branch Board operates under the general oversight of the Kansas City office's Board of Directors. While the Branch Boards do not have a formal governance role in overseeing Branch management and operations, the Kansas City Board and senior management recognize that directors' involvement enhances the effectiveness of the Branch offices and the Tenth District.
