Willem Van Zandweghe is an economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. He joined the Bank in July 2008. His research currently focuses on optimal discretionary monetary policy in the Calvo model, equilibrium determinacy with interest rate policy in the presence of labor market search and matching frictions, and the role of such labor market frictions in the propagation of shocks. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Carnegie Mellon University in 2008.
